The title Ride 3 by Milestone is about to be released, more precisely in November. The number of available motorcycles has increased—230 to be exact—as well as roads and circuits. Let’s remember that this is the most complete motorcycle game in existence, but there's one new track that stands out above the rest.
The best road by the lake
We’re talking about provincial road SP38, which connects the town of Tremosine with Lake Garda in northern Italy. But here, the destination doesn’t matter—the beauty lies in the journey.
Known as Strada della Forra, it's considered by many motor enthusiasts as the best road in the world, and is called the motorcycle paradise. Proof of this are its many appearances in TV shows like Top Gear, commercials, and the James Bond film Quantum of Solace, in which the opening chase scene takes place here. And with views like these, it’s no surprise.
Another curious fact about this road is that Winston Churchill described it as the eighth wonder of the world, and coming from someone who had seen so much of the world, it probably wasn’t an exaggeration.
It was inaugurated in 1913 after four years of construction, and its path is filled with caves, grottos, waterfalls, and narrow passages carved over time by the Brasa River. It also runs alongside Lake Garda, giving us postcard-worthy views.
You can see a short section in this video:
The route

The road begins in a forest and is very narrow, with some points only wide enough for one car—but for us motorcycle lovers, that’s not a problem. It’s a winding route full of hairpin turns, perfect for thrill seekers.
There are stretches where you enter the mountain and barely any light reaches you. On the sides, there’s no margin until you hit the rock walls. The contrast between the narrow tunnels and the open panoramas of the lake make this road a delight for the eyes.
To recreate it, Milestone used aerial photography and drone scanning, and then loaded this data into their new Unreal Engine 4 graphics engine. From this data and the designers’ imagination, they created the Lago di Garda circuit.
For those of us who can’t afford to travel there with a high-end motorcycle, it’s a gift that Milestone offers us this recreation. At least we can imagine what it would be like in real life—and who knows, maybe one day we’ll get to go there in person.
And you? Have you had the privilege of riding this incredible route? Tell us your story!
